Tsamakia
Tsamakia is an organized sandy beach in the town of Mytilene. It is the most easily accessible beach for those that have chosen to stay in the island’s capital. The beach offers many amenities, including umbrellas, sunbeds, showers and beach volley. Tsamakia lies underneath the homonymous grove and the beach itself is surrounded by quite a few trees.
Molyvos beach
If you have been looking for those sparking clear azure seas that they show you in the guidebooks you will find them here and some privacy too. The sea is usually calm and it is sandy and shallow. The view of the castle is great from the water.
Agios Ermogenis
This small picturesque bay hides one of the less known beaches of Lesvos. Agios Ermogenis charms the visitors who come here to enjoy the sea in tranquility with its crystal clear green waters (taking their color from the pine trees surrounding the bay) and its golden sand.
Kohilia
It's the ideal destination for a short break from the city life. Our favorite beach bar, with lots of people having fun and relax combined with the clean and beautiful beach will get you in the mood for summer.
Skala Kallonis
The wonderful long sandy beach and the colourful port are the focus of this tranquil resort, and Skala Kalloni’s position on the edge of the bay means it boasts exceptionally warm protected waters, and therefore perfect conditions for both swimming and active water sports.
Pedi beach
Pedi beach is located a few kilometers outside Mandamados on the road to Mytiline. You can find it after Aspropotamos beach on Makris Gialo's bay. Pedi is one of the most popular beaches in Lesvos because of the fine sand and clear, shallow waters.
Xrisi Ammos
Xrisi ammos is a private beach, but you can have access to it during the summer. The beach is one of the most beautiful and exotic one's on the island and every year is visited by lots of tourists.
Tsonia
It is located near Kleio's village. It is a beautiful beach with crystal clear water and red sand in an area of 500m. It's definitely the ideal choice for someone who wants to relax, enjoy the sea and drink ouzo.
Palios beach
Palios beach is located a few kilometers outside Mandamados. It is a quiet and picturesque beach overlooking Tokmakia isalnds. You can find it on the road after the Monastery of Taxiarches.
Haramida
Haramida despite its proximity to the Mytilene airport and town it is a generally undiscovered picturesque location by foreign visitors to Lesvos. During the summer season is well known for its beautiful and clean sea. The beach is one of the most organized on the island with canteens and beach bars, so that you can spend a pleasant time and enjoy swimming.
Melinda
Melinda is an alluring place, visited by thousands of tourists every summer. It is a wide beach with clean golden sand and mirror-like waters.
Agios Isidoros
Agios Isidoros is a village in the municipality of Plomari, Lesbos. It has a unique pebbled beach which is one of the longest in Lesvos and voted as The 7th best beach in Greece due to the safety provided, the clean water and care for the environment.
Vatera Beach
One of the most unique regions in the Mediterranean, Vatera is characterized by its unrivaled natural beauty. Its 9-kilometer stretch of beachfront whose width ranges from 10 to 30 meters is one of the island’s most famous resorts. During the summer you’ll find many lodgings, tavernas and bars for comfortable, carefree seaside holidays.
Beaches near Petra
Petra has a marvelous sandy beach with hotels, rooms, colorful tavernas, trendy bars, and restaurants. It’s a lively place, day and night, and perfect for family holidays. In the bay of Gera
The most beautiful and developed of the beaches is Tarti, which has crystal clear turquoise water and is located at the foot of a verdant hill. Thousands of tourists flock here every summer to enjoy, among other things, the abundant fresh fish served in the quaint tavernas. The beach-side service is not to be missed! Equally enchanting are the quiet bays of Tsilia, Ligonari, Tsafi, Fara and Yialiotissa, which are a boater’s paradise.
Skala Eressos
A beautiful 4 kilometer-long road lined with mulberry trees and poplars takes you from the mountain village to its seaside settlement, Skala Eressos (also called Yialos). The fragrant plain or kambos of Eressos extends before you with its tidy gardens and holiday homes.On your left is Vigla hill and behind that is historic Xokastro in the most privileged spot with the best view in the area. On the right is the rock with the chapel of the Prophet Ilias, and between that is the stunning beach with much to offer. The water is cold and crystal clear, and the beach is 2½ kilometers long with fine greyish rice-like grains of sand that won’t stick to your skin. On the beach you’ll see the Blue Flag of Europe, which awarded to the cleanest seas and beaches in the Mediterranean.
Anaxos
Heading northwest from Petra you’ll come to Anaxos, one of the island’s most beautiful beaches with deep clear water and a little stream at its western end. It has a very well organized beachfront that developed over the past few decades, before there was even a settlement here. Its unique hilly landscape attracts many tourists, even those on limited budgets. Each summer many foreign visitors discover their inner selves in the company of the sea and friendly atmosphere. It’s a great place for families too.
Kanoni
Its beach,Kanoni, attracts thousands of tourists eachyear. Other good places for swimming and eating are Petalidi, Skala Nees Kydonies, and Skala Mystegna, which offer rooms right on the sea. The clean water and beaches, picturesque tavernas and local cuisine are the ideal conditions for lovely, peaceful holidays.
Tsichranda, Kalos Limenas
This scenic harbor has one of the most beautiful and best organized beaches on the island,it’s a popular destination for Greeks and foreigners alike. It offers modern luxury hotels and a huge variety of choices for food and recreation.Its sandy beach is lined with cafés, bars, ouzeri and clubs.
Sigri
In Sigri, there are located a few beautiful sandy beaches. The best one is Panagia Faneromeni. Sigri could be considered as the ideal destination for relaxing family holidays close to the nature and the sea. Also it is one of the best fishing spots in the island, and a good choice if you like surfing.
